Today self-care looked like doing some much needed deep cleaning while listening to This American Life, catching up on laundry, napping, and going to Fat Yoga for the second time. I really want to work on going weekly, as I love the class and the way it makes me feel. So grounding and in my body, and I find in winter time especially I need way more of that. I also had breakfast for dinner and picked up the book I had on hold at the library! Now off to read it before bed. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Wednesdays are the best days for self-care for me.

- cooked a delicious curry
- finished season 2 of game of thrones

day 74.
It’s nearing the end of the term and I feel like I barely have a minute to slow down. Today was about catching up a bit and getting a lot of work done. I did a good chunk of homework, finished planning the art class I’m teaching this weekend, worked on a birthday gift, and worked on the semi-surprise birthday party I’m throwing for my plp Wyatt on Friday. Oh, and relaxed at acupuncture. Not a bad Wednesday for self-care at all. Now to just get through the next week in one piece!

day 53.
Wednesdays. Quickly shaping up to be my favorite days. My “me” days.
Today was acupuncture. I couldn’t quite to my magic place, but it was still a nice solid hour of rest.
Also homework and friend time. And palo santo before bed.
I feel like I’m on the edge of getting sick, and I’m worried as I’m entering crunch time for the quarter at school. Really I think it’s just the lack of sleep. I don’t like feeling burnt out and stretched too thin. That’s where I’m at right now and I think I need to work more on prioritizing. These next few weeks really need to be about finishing the quarter while also making time for me. We’ll see how I do.
